The flagship · South Mountain, Phoenix

South Mountain Oasis

A private heated pool and spa with the heat included year-round, a backyard painted like a resort, and South Mountain's trailheads a short walk from the door.

The home

The flagship, and the reason is the backyard.

Guests have rated the Oasis 5.0 across 84 reviews, and the backyard is usually why. The pool and spa are heated with the heat included and open year-round, framed by soft turf, a covered patio with cushioned seating, a fire pit, a gas grill with outdoor dining, and murals that guests say make the whole space feel like a resort. A child safety fence is available for the pool.

Inside, the living spaces are newly renovated: three smart TVs including a 65-inch, a pool table off the dining room, and a coffee, tea and wine bar that one guest said had everything you could imagine. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances, spices and cooking basics, and everything is labeled and easy to find.

The bedrooms are a king and two queens. There are two laptop-friendly workspaces, free WiFi, central A/C, a washer and dryer, and garage parking for two cars plus the driveway. Western Star Park is a three-minute walk, the trailhead is right down the road, and Downtown Phoenix is under fifteen miles away.

“Came here for my husband's 30th birthday and we had an AMAZING stay for our first time in AZ! We hiked the mountain behind the housing addition and it was such an awesome experience, everything was clean, instructions were clear and it was a beautiful home. They had sunscreen for us to use, games for us to play in the evening and coffee readily available. Overall couldn't have asked for a better stay!”

Andrea — Fort Wayne, IN (May 2026)

“Steve and Julie's South Mountain Oasis has the most amenities of any place we have ever stayed and was also very comfortable. The outdoor area with pool, hot tub, soft turf and beautiful murals made it feel like a resort. The home was very clean and well stocked. The coffee bar had everything you could imagine. It was in a great neighborhood for walking and was a few blocks from a very nice Safeway and minutes to the freeway for more distant adventures. We would definitely return.”

Jerome — Oak Park Heights, MN (May 2026)

“The pool and hot tub was an oasis; a private retreat for rest and relaxation. Our family loved walking to South Mountain Preserve for sunrise and sunsets. The trailhead is right down the road. The location is amazing. Beds were super comfortable and the house is pristine. We loved playing billiards. Everything was labeled and easy to find. Enjoy your stay; we sure did!”

Jeff — Barrington, RI (April 2026)

“We loved staying at the SMO! We loved being near walking trails around South Mountain. Also, the child safety fence around the pool was extremely helpful. The kids could be outside and not access the pool area alone. I highly recommend!”

Kristin — Hermantown, MN (March 2026)

“This place was amazing, would book again for sure. Easy to get to, very private and outstanding hospitality. If you are looking for privacy, peace and quiet, easy access to drivable areas and close to everything you need, this is a great location.”

Michael — Vancouver, Canada (March 2026)

“The place was amazing — the kids did not want to leave the pool. The place was very clean and host was very responsive.”

Diana — Downey, CA (July 2026)
